Weigela Seeds

(Weigela florida) Perennial. Zones 5 - 8. Caprifoliaceae (Honeysuckle) Family. Native range—Eastern Asia. A beautiful flowering shrub, blooming in late-Spring. Full sun, tolerates partial shade. Flowers bloom on year old wood. Can grow up to 10 feet tall. One of our favorite floriferous plants!

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

SEED PRETREATMENT: Seeds don’t require any pretreatment.

STRATIFICATION: Seeds don’t require stratification.

SEEDING: Sow seeds on the soils surface, tamp down gently. Seeds require light to germinate. Prefers a soil temperature of 17-21°C. Keep soil moist.

GERMINATION: Naturally lower germination rate, between 30-50%. Germination will generally occur in 30 days.
