GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
TIMING: Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before final Spring frost date. Transplant seedlings into larger containers once first set of true leaves have formed. Harden off seedlings before transplanting outdoors, after all risk of frost has passed.
GERMINATION: 7-21 days. Seeds require light to germinate. Bottom watering is best, to not disturb the tiny seeds.
SEEDING: Sow seeds on the soil surface, tamp down gently. Space plants 6”-12” apart.
GROWING: Full sun to partial shade. Prefers nutrient rich soil, top up amendments before plants bloom. Pinch off the top of seedlings when transplanting outdoors, this will produce fuller plants. Deadhead spent blooms regularly. Loves cool weather.
HARVESTING: Pick stalks when 1/3 of blooms are open.
