GROWING INSTRUCTIONS**Difficult
For best results, sow seeds outdoors in Fall, mulch with sawdust. If starting indoors...
SEED PRETREATMENT: Soak seeds for 24 hours, start with boiling water. Mix seeds with a moistened grow medium equal to 3-4 times seed volume. Place in a plastic bag or container.
STRATIFICATION: 90 days warm/moist (13-15°C), a spot out of direct light is good. Monitor for mold. Next, 150 days cold/moist (5°C), in your fridge is a good spot for this. Inspect periodically for even moisture and early germination.
POST-STRATIFICATION: Sow stratified seeds 3/8” deep. Prefers soil temperatures of 20°C for germination. Water regularly and evenly.
GERMINATION: When all previously mentioned requirements are fulfilled, germination generally occurs in 60 days.
