GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
STRATIFICATION: Cold stratification will improve germination. Place seed packet in your fridge for 7 days before sowing.
TIMING: Start seeds indoors 5-7 weeks before final Spring frost date OR direct sow outdoors in early Spring. Harden off seedlings before transplanting outdoors, after risk of frost.
GERMINATION: 14-21 days. Seeds require cooler temperatures (13°C) and darkness to germinate. Keep soil moist.
SEEDING: Sow seeds 1/4” deep. Space plants 12” apart.
GROWING: Prefers full sun. Plants can grow 3-4 feet tall, adding light support can be beneficial. Plants do best in nutrient rich, slightly acidic soil—top up amendments throughout the season
HARVESTING: For fresh: Cut stalks when a third of the blooms are open. For dried: Cut stalks when blooms are fully open.
*All parts of this plant, including seeds, are TOXIC*
