GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
SEED PRETREATMENT: Seeds benefit from scarification—gently scratch the seed surface with sandpaper. Then soak seeds in water for 24 hours, start with hot tap water. Mix seeds with a moistened grow medium 4 times the seed volume. Place in a plastic bag, covered tray/cells or container.
STRATIFICATION: 60 days cold/moist (5°C). Place plastic bag with seeds and soil in your refrigerator, preferably in a veggie crisper. Inspect periodically for even moisture/germination.
SEEDING: Sow stratified seeds on the soil surface, tamp down gently. Seeds require light to germinate. Alternate soil temperatures during the day (30°C) and night (20°C). Water evenly and regularly.
GERMINATION: When all previously mentioned requirements are fulfilled, germination generally occurs in 15-40 days.
