Hummingbird Vine Seeds
(Campsis radicans) Perennial. Zones 4 - 9.
This vining beauty will welcome a plethora of wild eye candy into your garden - Ruby Throated Hummingbirds, Swallowtail Butterflies, maybe a Sphinx Moth!
Also known as Trumpet Honeysuckle or Trumpet Creeper, Hummingbird Vine is a prolific climbing vine that provides quick cover for fences and trellises.
Gently fragrant trumpet shaped orange and scarlet flowers come on around Midsummer. In Autumn, leaves turn yellow and bean-like seed pods split open to release two winged seeds.
Trumpet Creeper grows rapidly to a height of 25-40 feet and spreads vigorously. It is easily grown in most soils and thrives in full sun. It provides wonderful dense coverage for woodland gardens or other naturalized areas, climbing rock piles and tree stumps.
