Echinacea Seeds - Yellow

Yellow Echinacea is a beautiful variation of a truly classic medicinal plant. Its petals are sunshine yellow with a deep dark brown center. Plants can reach 2-3 feet tall, with blooms up to 3 inches across. The roots and petals of Yellow Echinacea have similar medicinal properties to the classic Purple Coneflower. A fantastic addition to any medicinal perennial garden!
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
STRATIFICATION: 30 days cold/moist stratification in your fridge
TIMING: Start stratified seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before late-Spring OR direct sow stratified seed outdoor in late-Spring OR direct seed outdoors in Fall.
GERMINATION: 10-15 days. Prefers soil temperatures of 20°C for germination. Keep soil consistently moist.
SEEDING: Sow seeds 1/8” deep, tamp down gently. Space plants 18”-24” apart.
GROWING: Prefers well-draining, slightly acidic soil. Full sun.
HARVESTING: May flower in its first year, more likely in its second summer. Allow a minimum of 3 years for plants to become established, before harvesting roots for medicine.
