Dianthus Seeds - Chabaud Benigna
(Dianthus caryophyllus) Annual. 130-140 days to maturity.
French heirloom carnations, Chabaud Benigna Dianthus, are the definition of elegance and beauty. Their blooms are white to cream coloured, with rose dipped edges in varying degrees. In Joseph Breck’s 1851 book named The Flower-Garden, he declared “There is no flower more desirable in the flower-garden than the Carnation. A well-grown, superior variety, cannot be surpassed, in elegance, beauty, or odor by any other flower…”. We agree! The scent and beauty of the Chabaud carnations are unmatched! Plants grow 24-30 inches tall and have an excellent vase life.
