Cumin Seeds

(Cuminum cyminum) 100-110 days to maturity.

Native to the Mediterranean, Cumin is now enjoyed worldwide, particularly in Mexican, Middle Eastern and Indian cooking. Plants are quite unique, featuring feathery stems and leaves with tiny pink flowers. Cumin definitely grows better in warm climates, but will grow well in Southern BC and, if started early enough indoors (March), will produce ripe seed in much of Canada.
