Purple Romagna Artichokes are a beautiful variety with true royal flair! We love all purple vegetables and these artichokes are no exception -  plants can be grown purely for their ornamental and grand beauty, but also for their delicious chokes. Plants must undergo a vernalization period to procure flowers/chokes their first year. For best flavour and texture, pick buds that are fully formed, but before their thistle-like flower begins to open. Purple Romagna Artichoke plants are a show-stopper in any garden!
