GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
TIMING: Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before final Spring frost date. Harden off seedlings before transplanting outdoors.
GERMINATION: 7-14 days. Keep soil moist and warm.
SEEDING: Sow seeds on the soil surface, barely cover and tamp down gently. Space plants 6”-12” apart.
GROWING: Prefers full sun. Low-maintenance perennial. Although part of the mint family, they won’t spread aggressively. Can reach 2-5 feet tall, great along fences or as a border. Requires minimal pruning, but best done in Spring.
HARVESTING: Best to pick leaves in the Spring, before plants flower. Cut flowers as they begin to open, hang to dry. Leaves and flowers are both edible, good in tea blends.
