Statice Seeds - Pink Pokers

Pink Poker Statice will bring the magical feel of underwater plants to your garden! Their tissue paper blooms are a bright dusty rose, growing in a tall cheerful manner. Excellent in both fresh and dried arrangements, these unique whimsical blooms are sure to add interest to your floral bouquets. Pink Poker Statice is unlike any other statice variety you’ll grow! Plants can reach 20-30 inches tall.   

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

TIMING: Start seeds indoors 5-6 weeks before final Spring frost date OR direct sow outdoors in late Spring. Harden off seedlings  before transplanting outdoors, after risk of frost. 

GERMINATION: 14-21 days. Seeds require light to germinate. Bottom watering is best, to not disturb seeds. 

SEEDING: Sow seeds on the soil surface, tamp down gently. Space plants 12” apart. 

GROWING: Full sun. Prefers rich, well-draining soil. Plants will produce multiple flower stalks throughout the season, 
deadheading spent blooms will promote further growth. Plants can grow 2 feet tall. 

HARVESTING: For fresh or dried: Pick stalks when flowers are mostly all open. Blooms keep their vibrant colour when dried.
