Cosmos Sensation is a lovely mix of lavender, white, purple, red and yellow. The bright flowers attract bumble bees, birds and butterflies. Cosmos will self seed and they are nice cut flowers.

Growth Habit: Upright growth to 5 feet, tall stems, lacy foliage, with 3” flowers. Staking may be required in windy gardens. Pinching off the main stem encourages branching for bushier plants.

When to Plant: Direct seed after last frost date OR start indoors 5-7 weeks before last frost date.
How to Plant:
Direct sow: Sow seeds after the last frost date, sow seeds outdoors and cover lightly with soil. Seeds should germinate in 10-13 days. Thin young plants to 1 foot apart.
Transplant: Sow seeds indoors 5-7 weeks before last frost date. Seeds should germinate in 10-13 days. Harden off seedlings before transplanting after the last frost date. Space plants 1 foot apart.
When to Harvest: Harvest blooms Summer into Fall. Tolerates light frost.
How to Harvest: Cut stems when flower petals are opening, but not yet flat. Deadhead regularly to extend flowering.
Uses: Excellent cut flowers. Attracts beneficial insects.
