Our Seed

What We Offer

We are pleased to offer more than 225 varieties of high quality, open pollinated vegetable seed in 2012. We will continue to add varieties so please check back or subscribe to our newsletter.

We specialize in open pollinated and heirloom seeds. Open pollinated seed gives control of the seed back to the gardener and farmer and the older varieties help bring back the taste which has been lost to commercial production. Maintaining genetic diversity is important as well. It allows for healthy plants in a wide variety of conditions as well as allowing for unlimited new varieties through nature and cross pollination.

All of the seeds we offer are untreated, and to the best of our knowledge are 100% GMO free.

Every year we expand the varieties of seed that we grow on our own farm. All of our seeds are guaranteed to grow true to type.

If you are a are a maritime seed producer and would like to discuss becoming a supplier, please contact us.

We believe in growing food without the use of chemicals. On the farm we grow everything in a sustainable way and encourage others to try the same as well.

The Safe Seed Pledge

We have signed the Safe Seed Pledge with which our values coincide. Below is what it states.

"Agriculture and seeds provide the basis upon which our lives depend. We must protect this foundation as a safe
and genetically stable source for future generations. For the benefit of all farmers, gardeners and consumers who
want an alternative, we pledge that we do not knowingly buy or sell genetically engineered seeds or plants.

The mechanical transfer of genetic material outside of natural reproductive methods and between genera, families
or kingdoms, poses great biological risks as well as economic, political, and cultural threats. We feel that
genetically engineered varieties have been insufficiently tested prior to public release. More research and testing is
necessary to further assess the potential risks of genetically engineered seeds. Further, we wish to support
agricultural progress that leads to healthier soils, genetically diverse agricultural ecosystems and ultimately healthy
people and communities."

If you have any questions please write to us using the contact form at the top of the page.

We'd like to thank you very much for visiting our site and wish you the best of times. Happy growing!
